First Annual Wine and "Say Cheese" Event

What a better way to kick off the Grand Opening of our Studio then with a little PARTY!
So that's what we did, and we are thinking of making it an annual event.
Your ticket in - a bottle of wine and an empty glass.
What you had to do once you got there - fill the glass and SAY CHEESE!!
The wine was flowing, the lights were flashing, the music was on and the food was great!
It was a great night overall, and we can't wait for many more events in the Studio!
We want to thank all of our great friends and clients who helped us by filling the studio and keeping us busy. Without you, we would be no where!!
As part of the event we wanted to get our friends and clients into the studio and take a few pics - they are PERFECT for facebook profile pics.
To see them all - check out the fan page!
But since you know we can't have a blog without a picture, I had to post a pic of a couple who will be helping us to plan and prepare for our wedding - our Matron of Honor and Best Man!

Thanks again to all our great clients and friends - keep on the lookout for more from the Studio!

Finally Blogging About It

So - if you follow us on Facebook - you may already know - but if you just follow us on the fan page we have not announced it yet.
Brandi and I are engaged.
I know a lot of our clients have thought that we were a husband and wife team already - and it most certainly feels like it - but no, Brandi and I are not married - but now we are planning a wedding!!
I wanted to do something different for engagement shots - of course we will have the traditional shots, but I wanted to do something unique to us for the announcement....
So I took the ring, and one of my grandfather's old camera's and tried something new.
And I Love it!

Even got a little dust on it still.... Just makes it more unique for me!

It has been a long time coming (5 years) - but we are engaged (yes it was me that waited so long!!)

I am looking forward to going through the same process in choosing wedding "stuff" that all our clients get to do. This is going to be an eye opening experience for us. Not only because its an amazing thing to marry the one you love....but its also a great opportunity for us to network as wedding professionals, and learn from others with MUCH more experience.

So be prepared to follow us as we plan our wedding, and while we photograph yours!

Keep watching the blog for more information!
We are planning a June 2011 wedding.
And thank you to all our loyal fans!

Our Weekend Adventures

Brandi and I took the opportunity to go spend some time with my family this past weekend.
My home town of Millinocket had some great events that my father was a part of so it was nice to go spend some time with the family and help my father celebrate his successes.
Millinocket is a big snow sledding community - and given the weather we have had recently up here, its surprising that there is any snow left, but there were some snow sleds running this past weekend!!
So the first celebration was the ribbon cutting of the Multi-Use trail that connects downtown Millinocket to the ITS Trail system. Its a great opportunity for the community and for down town. Below is the ribbon cutting ceremony. Congressman Mike Michaud was the one cutting the ribbon. Dad is on the far right!

From downtown, we traveled a few miles up the road to cut the ribbon on the multi-use trail suspension bridge that crosses the river. What a great feature for the trail to have!
Check out this bridge!

So, its not the Golden Gate, but it's a great win for Millinocket!

The first people to cross the bridge was congressman Michaud and Rudy Pelletier, of the America Loggers.
ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Here comes everyone else!!

Here is the group cutting the ribbon opening the bridge - the woman cutting the ribbon is a Representative from the Governor's office. The governor was suppose to be there, but I guess he was in Washington with the President and the other Governors. I was happy to see a Representative!!

And what is a trip to Millinocket without checking out the newest restaurant in town:
The Pelletier Loggers' Family Restaurant
Brandi and I got a great tour of the restaurant and its going to be fantastic, can't wait for my first beer at one of the two bars!

If you haven't watched - the newest season of America Loggers on the Discovery Channel premiered last Friday featuring the Pelletier Family and their Millinocket business.
Here is another view of the restaurant.

To wrap up the weekend, we had a good old fashioned pig roast!
It was a great end to a great weekend - although after spending most of the day around the pig and serving and cleaning up after the dinner ---- I wasn't in much of a mood to eat the pig.
They say it was good though!

Congratulations Millinocket on a great weekend.
Great Job Dad!
Way to go Pelletier Family and here is to another great season!

Life is not a race, but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say 'Thank you', 'I love you', and 'Great job' to someone each day. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Take time for yourself - plan for longivity.
