New Idea - Let me know what you think.

I am trying to come up with ideas that will interest you and keep us busy over the winter months when the outdoor portraits and weddings have slowed down.
This is not your average school picture.
I wanted to be able to capture all the different faces of your child ---- pretty much we would photograph any age group....as long as they could sit up.
The image below is 12 individual shots - I also have examples with 9 images and a different shape.
I would also include in the package a "good" picture. One with a nice smile that you can hang on the wall, but i also want to make sure you get the mosaics prints too.
Of course just like all our packages you would receive all the images on a digital negative too. So you can have that funny faced image enlarged to place on the wall.
I'm anxious for your feedback, let me know what you think.
Also let me know if you like the name "Happy Faces" or not, if not, help me think of something better!

Family Photo Session: Hampden Maine

I love it when families come back to get more pictures taken.
This is also a great shoot to showcase too --- our very first in home studio session.
Yes, that's right - we'll bring the studio to YOU!
I think they came out great. Plus it was so great to work with this family again, they are really a lot of fun, and also have great ideas (more to come on that).
Sisters!
I had to throw in the Basketball shot. Ariel let me know that she was missing a basketball game for this. So I made sure we dug out the basketball to make up for it. Pretty neat huh?

What a cutie!! Little Ameilia is 6 months old. You saw her as a newborn and in the belly still! What a doll.

Can't get enough of her.

One big happy family!

Yup, she plays soccer too.

Amy wanted to add a little whimsy to the shoots, which we are ALL FOR!
Check out the tutu. Amy made them for the shoot.
Love this shot, what a princess.

They all got matching tutus!

I can't resist photographing the kid. I love their expressions and Ameilia was full of them!! LOVE IT!

Thanks for letting us spend an afternoon with you!!
Also - if you want to reserve your in home studio session drop us a line!

Ryan & Pam's Engagement Session: North Woods Maine

Now that the dishes are done, and the turkey (or ham in my case) is digesting, it's for a blog.
I hope this is a feast for your eyes ---- as much as your Thanksgiving meal was a feast period!
ANYWAY --- you caught them on the first look, now its time to see what our North Woods session was all about.
It was so great to work with this couple. The bride, Pam, and I go WAYYYYYY back. I can't even remember how far back. We grew up together, graduated high school together --- wayyyyyyyyyy back. We are so happy to be photographing this wedding ---- its going to be a good one. Back to the pictures, we met up in the home town and took a ride up the river to get some shots. We were hoping for some fall leaves ---- but schedules didn't match up, but we got some great shots!! Hope you enjoy!

The Penobscot River --- LOVE IT. Did I mention it was FREEZING out that day, they were good sports though.

Love the wooded scene, with the green (from the evergreens) and the moss that was still around.

Can't beat an old dead tree to frame your shot with.

More river - Love the shades

Love the lighting --- nice and warm!

Aren't they a great couple?

Love this pose. Love Love Love it.

Classic shot - check out that smile.

And what is a trip up north with out the Mountain? I miss seeing that everyday!

This is going to be a great wedding --- make sure you check out the blog in July to catch the big day! Should be one not to miss!!
Pam & Ryan - Best of luck planning the wedding!!

Wedding Post - Mike & Jennifer: Augusta Maine

OK, this is a long post. But it's sooooooooooooo worth it.
You may remember this couple from their awesome engagement shoot we did this summer. Loved it, and I knew I was going to love the wedding too. This couple was so great....just wait and see.
It all started out at this church. BEAUTIFUL CHURCH!!!
I debated on doing a whole post of just details....but it would of been maybe longer....and then i would of just posted all of the photos. Either way, check out the seating cards.

Maple syrup at each place setting for the guests ---- how great is it with the rings on top?
Oh yah, the syrup was good too!

There was a slight soccer theme to the reception. We asked Mike what it was all about --- his response: "I like soccer." Works for us!

Brandi's magic with the shoes and the dress! Love it!

Wonder who she is talking to?

You saw in one of the first looks, the guys and I took a trip to DQ for a little pre-ceremony fun.

And now we are coming down the isle. The gentleman is Mike's brother, and best man. He is escorting their mother down the isle. LOVE the emotion! Beautiful!

Loved the church!

During the vows, Jen was cracking up. Tears streaming down her face. I was taking this shot, and Brandi was on the other side of the church, once we met up, I had to see if Mike was making a funny face.....he wasn't. Gotta wonder what she was thinking of!

Unity Candle.

LOVE THE CHURCH? Did I mention that?

Beautiful Bridal Portrait.

A little trip to the garden club got us this picture. Under the willow.

How great?

A little more Brandi Magic.

The bride cuts the cake song played while they....cut the cake....everyone was encouraging Mike to smush it in her face. He didn't of course!

Jen and her dad...

Busting a move!

Mike and Mom.

Mike and Noelle, Love Jen's emotion in the back.

Ok, this was a great game. Each person took off a shoe, and gave it to the other. The DJ asked a series of questions like "who does the dishes...?" and the bride and groom were to raise the shoe of the person who does that task. Great game!

This was such a great reception. They danced all night...

ANDDDDDDDDD played a little air guitar.

Mike & Jen, thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. We loved being there to capture all the memories, and we wish you all the best!

Pam & Ryan's Engagement: North Woods Maine

I really enjoy Engagement Shoots!! Really really really enjoy them.
And today's was no exception!
We will be photographing Pam and Ryan's wedding this July and we are soooooooo looking forward to it.
They were troopers today - especially with the Maine weather we were having - one minute sun, then wind, then rain, then sun again ---- at least there was no snow!
Hope you enjoyed today's session! More to come from this great couple!!

Life is not a race, but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say 'Thank you', 'I love you', and 'Great job' to someone each day. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Take time for yourself - plan for longivity.
