Weddings Wanted...

This is offically my first post. This blog was started to introduce potential clients to myself and my business of wedding photography. I plan to share the different weddings that I am inveolved in as well as the process I go through in creating what I believe to be beautiful wedding photos. This is my second year that I have been officially in business. I started this business with the encouragement of my wonderful girlfriend who is also my business partner. I have been a photographer for over ten years now. I began as a sports photographer for a small town newspaper. From there I began taking wedding photos as a favor to a friend. The results of that wedding launched another client and then this business. I also work full time for another company doing something that is completely unrelated to photography, but I always come back to photography in the end. Having a full time job that isn't this has limited the amount of work that I have taken on. Today is going to be a new beginning. I plan to devote a set amount of time every week now, to not only add to this blog but also to expand my business and develop a client base I can work from.

I wanted to start out by letting everyone reading know exactly what they would recieve when we do a wedding. First off we want to help you plan. When we have our first meeting, we talk about what you are looking for in your portraits. We do a combination of posed portraits as well as candid photojournalistic photos. This first meeting allows us to interact with you as clients and as a couple to get a feel of what you are looking for. After that we meet again a few weeks before the wedding, but this time we meet at the location of the wedding. This gives us a chance to map out the locations and plan for any challenges that may come in photographing the ceremony. This also gives us the opportunity to touch base again and get another interaction with you as the client. Also this second meeting is included right in the package, there is no extra cost to you. Finally on the wedding day, you get myself and my partner, both photographers for a minumum of five hours. This can start anytime. We can meet you right at the ceremony location or we can do the dressing room shots and the preperation for the wedding. Its 100% up to you. You are involved in the wedding planning process and we want it that way. After the wedding is over; we will bring all the digital shots back to our studio and we will work each and every one of them. The reason why we do this is because you will recieve each and every portrait. You do not have to purchase any prints directly from us. You recieve a CD with all the prints completely retouched and edited on it. If you so choose we can make up albums for you as well. We have moved away from the traditional wedding albums of the past and offer a 12 x 12 leater bound book with up to 80 of your favorite pictures in it. This is where you as the client come in again. We want you involved in choosing the shots that go into the album. We will meet again, and you will choose the photos you want. This also gives you the opportunity to view all the prints and make any changes you want to see, as well as converting the pictures that you absolutly love into black and white or antique sepia tones. After the meeting, I will go and lay out the book and order it. In two weeks you will have your bound book as well as your dics of prints and anything else you choose in your package.

The best part of this all, is all this custom service is not going to cost you $2500. You can get everything you want for under $1000. I don't want you to think that because the price is small the quality is small. It isn't. We are 100% committed to your satisfaction and will work with you on any issues.

Please go to our website check out the weddings that we have done in our wedding gallery. They are posted online. There is another wedding to be posted shortly. We love to work with interesting venues and interesting people. Let us show you what we can do for you.

Sincerely,
Ryan & Brandi

Life is not a race, but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say 'Thank you', 'I love you', and 'Great job' to someone each day. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Take time for yourself - plan for longivity.
