Day 23 --------------------------------- 'da dog

When we first started this project Brandi said to me, "Everyday is just going to be a picture of the dog." Well here it is, day 23 and I took a picture of the dog. He's going on 5 years old, hes a bullmastiff, and he is exhausted after a very brief walk. I really have enjoyed just setting my camera on the floor or the counter and taking the picture, that is what I did today. I think it really gets a great prospective of the subject. I also have to congratulate myself because I have been shooting all of the project with just one lens. I am pretty proud of myself for that. We have had a lot going on this week personally, and have been doing a lot of thinking about where the business is going to go and where our lives are going to go. We have been through a big change that started Monday, and we are slowly adapting and re-evaluating every step of the way. I have been doing a lot of thinking, Brandi has too. I think we're going to make it. We will always have each other. I am proud of you hunny, and I love you very much.

But that was a bit of a side rant - and without further ado - THE DOG.

Day 21 ----------------------------- another walk

So as I have said before, I have been going for a walk every morning before I go to work. I have been taking a similar route everyday, and it always takes me past this very old graveyard. I have taken so many pictures in or around that graveyard. Today's picture is of a tree right on the edge of the graveyard. I thought it was an oak, so I was going to call the picture the mighty oak...well when I passed it again, it was actually a maple, so I had to change the caption of the picture. Anyway I am finally going to the dentist today, its been about a year because I haven't been able to get up to Lincoln where my previous dentist is. I am very excited for clean teeth. Brandi is going too, she is less excited. Maybe I will take a picture of our day old clean teeth for tomorrows picture. We shall see!

Day 21 ----------------- A little rain

I have been going for a walk every morning before work, and I have started bringing my camera with me, and I usually have a plan in mind about what I want to take a picture. Today I wanted to take a picture of rain drops on SOMETHING. I always admire other photographers who can get a perfect raindrop on a flower. Well here is my version of a raindrop.

Day 18, 19, and 20 ------------------------ YAY

Ok here are three days worth of P365. I never forget, I just run out of time. Day 18's was totally random, It was late and I needed a picture, so I set the camera on the sink....and TA DA picture for day 18.

Day 19 - you may think this is a little weird, but yes, at work I have Mrs. Potato Head and Optimash Prime on my desk at work. Surprisingly no one looks at me funny, but then again maybe I just don't see them, but honestly if you can't have fun there, you'll go crazy.

Day 20 - this one is posted EARLY!! I have been going to a walk every morning now that I have been working nights, so I took my camera with me today, and I have been planning this shot for a while. This is right around the corner from my house. All the houses in the neighborhood were built by the mill, so they are all cookie cutter houses. When we moved into the neighborhood my mother said it reminded her of Stepford, so that's where the name of this picture came from!

Day 17 --------------------------------- Christmas in May?

Ok so this might be a little geeky, but I have been waiting for this Christmas Cactus to actually have blooms on it for a while. Brandi's mother has had blooms on hers since Christmas, and all of ours fell off right after we bought it (probably because of lack of water...oops). This time we were diligent though, and we moved it to different windows and made sure it was watered and guess what....its finally blooming. Lets see how long we can keep them!

Life is not a race, but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say 'Thank you', 'I love you', and 'Great job' to someone each day. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Take time for yourself - plan for longivity.
