Comin' at your right now - another great Senior!

All the way down from Millinocket (my hometown - now who doesn't like that?)

With a smile and a personality that will knock your socks off!

Codi:

Just has that million dollar smile the WHOLE time!

Honestly - we tried for a serious pose - it wasn't happening.

And you know what? There is NOTHING wrong with that!

Um wait.....

I forgot to mention the cowboy - actually cowGIRL hat!

Yup - we were rocking out in the hat today!

And the smile!

How you doin'?

You remember this shot from Eryn's Blog?
Codi saw it on our website and wanted to make it her own.
LOVE IT!

Softball star? Yes please!
Softball star in a dress - even better!

Oh, we are rocking the pillar.
Special thanks to Mom for finding one for us.
Love it when we get to use new props.

Love, love, lovin' it!

Honestly - does this girl ever stop smiling?
No she doesn't - and with a smile like that, who would?

Oh yah, we had to take this smile on the road!

Rock on Brandi with this killer shot.
A lotta class.
A lotta sass
and a lotta lens flair - my favorite!!

Rock on Codi - thanks for coming into the studio!
Brandi and I wish you the best of LUCK with everything!

Maternity Session - Beautiful Britney - Dover Foxcroft Maine

Yes - we made the trip to Dover Foxcroft to photograph this great family!

We are very excited to share some more photos with you.

Remember him?
Yup - it's Dean!!

Who can resist that toothy grin?

Britney is such a beautiful mother, we love love love photographing her baby belly beauty!

CUTE!

Dean looking up to mom and dad.

You are such a beautiful mother Britney - look at that smile! Priceless!!

What a great family! We are really looking forward to meeting Dean's brother or sister!!

AND the beauty carries inside again!

This is my favorite moment of the day. We sit everyone down and get Dean to look at the book and he just BURSTs out "AYEYEYEYEYEYEYE"
(really is was much funnier in person)
He was reading us a story - can't tell this kid loves to read at all!

Britney changed it up a little for us. She wanted some shots in this beautiful floral dress. She just loved the way it draped over her as she was sitting on the floor one day with Dean.
We love it when clients come with their own ideas!!

We love it when clients come back again and again for photos.
It's so great to see how the family has grown and changed over time, and we are so lucky to be there and capture it in pictures.
Britney, Tim & Dean - we are looking forward to coming back to photograph your new addition!
Congratulations!

Announcing Dyllan - Our Senior Model for the Class of 2011 out of Mt. View High School

It is our pleasure to introduce everyone to our seconds Senior Model of this year.
Dyllan!! YAY!!
He is Class of 2011 of Mt. View High School.
We have been so lucky this year to have two great seniors from two great high schools representing our studio!
Dyllan is fun and great to be around, it was Awesome to have his energy in the studio the day he came over!!
Rockin' the red - blingin' the class ring. Love it!

Oh, I know you are impressed!

Little serious side - it was almost harder to get a serious look rather then a smiling look!

This was a new lighting technique we tried with Dyllan - I think I like the look. I am looking forward to trying it with some other willing Seniors.

Did I mention we made him wear a suit? He wasn't much into the suit - but what High School student is? But he Rocked it!

Ipod Commercial? I think so!

AND - since Brandi wanted Dyllan to have more options, she raided my closet and came up with the orange shirt - yes, that's right, Brandi is not shy at all about getting you dressed up for your session!

Killer huh?

Um Eagle Scout ---- working on it!

Yes folks, that's right - HOOTERS. This kid loves his Hooters shirt. Just goes to show you, if you are into it, we are into it. Bring your favorite shirt with you.

How can I not love someone who has a similar obsession to me? Me - Diet Coke. Dyllan - Mt. Dew.
Can't blame him!

Thank you so much Dyllan for spending some time with us and letting us get to know you much better. We know that you will represent us great!
Anyone from Mt. View who would like to reserve their Senior Session with us this summer, contact us by e-mail: info@rjmoorephotography.com

Our Wedding Update!

So remember way back to yesterday.
When I said we had an important announcement that we were going to be making about OUR wedding.
Well it's official.
We have a Date.
And a location!!
EEEEEEK!!
We will be getting married on June 11, 2011
(it's easy for me to remember 6/11/11 - almost like the 7-11 where you can get slurpies, and very much like my birthday which is 11/11)
And we will be tying the knot, and having a great reception at the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono, Maine.
Finally, things are starting to come together. Now we must look for the other important elements. Cake, Dress, Tux, PHOTOGRAPHER!!!
More updates to come as they unfold!
(Sorry, not my photo - this was taken from the PVCC's Website)

What do you like better? Wedding Season or Christmas?

Ok Christmas.
But Wedding Season comes in a close second.
I was trying to find that whole clip from the Movie Wedding Crashers with the montage of all the weddings they attend in the summer.
Sometimes I think that is what we feel like.
Only BETTER.
Anyway - yes, Wedding Season for us starts officially tomorrow evening, with a fantastic couple that we have gotten to know over the past year, and we are very much looking forward to spending the evening with them as they become man and wife.
After tomorrow, the wedding's keep coming.
What does that mean?
If you want a photo shoot with us, contact us. We still have many spots to fill this summer, but each month is filling up quicker and quicker!
Also - we will be sharing an important announcement with everyone soon about our very own wedding coming up!!
Stay tuned!
And since I couldn't find that clip to share with you, I went with a picture Brandi snapped of me hard at work entertaining little Dean.
Thanks to everyone who keeps coming back to check the blog!

Lewiston: All That.....and a Dead Crow.

I don't even know how to begin this blog.
Let me start by saying this - we are the slackers of the group and the last one to post images from this AWESOME day!
Picture this: Photographers and their significant others marching through the alleys of Lewiston with thousand of dollars worth of photo equipment - trailed by a senior, a bride and an engaged couple. Complete with hair stylist and more reflectors then you could imagine.
That was us.
and THAT ROCKED!
Check out some images from this day.
Kristin - you are fan-glamorous.

Love this one (you are going to hear that phrase a lot)

Loving the graffiti - loving the pose, loving the dress.

This one above is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE from the day. I have been dreaming of this very shot for so long. How awesome is this? Really - I love it!

Check out the Sass!

Yes, she wears glasses - but she always took them off when we were shooting - me - I wear glasses - I think glasses are great. Kristin ROCK those glasses.

Check out Brandi's pose. Love the angle.

Any one need some extra glamour? She's got it!

Did I mention we had a bride?
Tiffany you ROCKED that wedding dress. Thank you so much for bringing it along. Trash the Dress shoot anyone? I now know some great places for one!

um Yah - AWESOME.
Cassie & Jason - HUGE sports. Love you both.
Jason had a close call with a pigeon not long before this pose. I think he deserved that kiss!
Yup - got it - you know my obsession with coke (diet). How could you not?

Did I mention wall scaling?
Cause that happened too.

Brandi again - bringing out that Sass in Kristin.

Being a bride is tough. Gotta rest every once in a while.
Love Her!

ooooo Cassie has a little sass of her own. Make that a lot of SASS!!

I'm totally singing the Fergie song.
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
Maybe even Fergaliscious
Ferga-glamorous
Again - the bridal beauty - Brandi just can't get enough of it!

Cass and Jason again - working their pose.

Hello? How can you stand it!
They are awesome.
Couldn't of asked for better models!

I will end on a partial group shot - in the alley.
Among the dead crow.
Wounded squirrel
empty liquor bottles.
broken glass
and other things that need not be mentioned.
WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!
Not only was it a great day for photography it was a great day to be with friends who do the same things that we do. Not just photography but also work full time jobs. Care for kids - many kids. Love photography, love learning, love laughing and love having fun.
Many many thanks to Alison for taking the time to set up this first of many events. I could just hug you every time i think about this day.
Deb you are a rock star! You crack us up - love everything about you.
Liz & Paul SOOOOOOO glad we met you. Looking forward to MANY more humorous interactions with you both!
Not to mention Tiff, Cass, Jason and Kristin - if whatever you are doing now does not work out - check out modeling - I think i am signing you all up for Bravo's next "make me a supermodel"
Ok - I have rambled for far too long.
What a great day!
Great friends
Great laughs.
and a Dead Crow.

Life is not a race, but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say 'Thank you', 'I love you', and 'Great job' to someone each day. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Take time for yourself - plan for longivity.
